Everton are set to accelerate attempts to sign Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The Turkiye international has emerged as a transfer target for the Toffees as David Moyes looks to bolster his attack.

In recent weeks, the Blues have apparently made verbal inquiries over completing a deal for the 26-year-old.

Now, the Hill Dickinson Stadium hierarchy are expected to step up their pursuit of Yilmaz, who is also being linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

Moyes has signed Tyrique George to reinforce the forward line this summer, but more work arguably needs to be done.

The Scottish manager evidently lacks quality in the attack as the Merseyside outfit continue to hope for Jack Grealish's return from Manchester City.

What Everton have decided to do next to sign Baris Alper Yilmaz

There has been recent Everton transfer news on Yilmaz suggesting that he isn't a target for Moyes.

However, Turkiye Gazetesi hinted on 5 August that the forward's move to the Premier League looks imminent.

With the Toffees and Tottenham making verbal enquiries for the attacker, they will now sit down to try and negotiate a deal with Galatasaray, who want at least £42.8million.

The two English clubs are being tipped to take concrete steps to win the race for Yilmaz's signature and finalise a transfer within the next 10 days.

Galatasaray already have the Turkish forward's replacement lined up in AC Milan's Rafael Leao.

Yilmaz is one step away from realising his dream of playing in the Premier League and Europe, but has left the decision up to the Super Lig club.

Who The Friedkin Group must focus on before pushing for Baris Alper Yilmaz deal

Everton have made two permanent signings this summer in Hayden Hackney and George, with Merlin Rohl's loan deal also becoming permanent.

Fans have undoubtedly been left disappointed with the lack of business at Hill Dickinson Stadium, as it was clearly evident at the end of last season that Moyes needed quality reinforcements.

Yilmaz would represent the addition of a much-needed option up top as he's capable of playing across the front line, but the Blues should have other transfer priorities further up their wishlist.

Supporters in L3 have been crying out for a new right-back since last summer, but the Merseyside outfit's recruitment team are yet to deliver.

There's less than a month left for TFG to ease concerns among the fanbase about another disappointing campaign under Moyes.
