Everton's right-back hunt: Every option ranked by value for money as David Moyes faces key decision
Everton are continuing to seek a solution for their ongoing issues at right-back.
Among the squad, the right flank is perhaps the position needing the most attention.
Seamus Coleman's departure and Nathan Patterson's lack of trust in the eyes of David Moyes make it a priority.
Everton have been linked to plenty of players over the last few weeks and the manager faces a key decision over who to pursue.
Among those are both players who would arrive with Premier League experience, while others offer a completely different profile to what Moyes has typically utilised.
However, there is little point in identifying the true perfect addition when Everton's budget will certainly factor into the equation. Here is a round-up of the current price points of each target.
Why Everton's budget could shape the final right-back decision'
Right-back has been a long-term problem for Everton, so the fact they are taking their time to get the best value and quality deal through the door is a positive sign.
The last thing Everton fans would want is to fork out a hefty fee on a defender, and then this time next year the same issues arise.
Among those targets is Tottenham's Djed Spence. Goodison News has previously shared reports that Everton want to pay £25million for Spence.
But, Tottenham are said to be holding out for a higher fee amid interest from Inter Milan as well, as per Sky Sports Italy.
Guela Doue has also been heavily scouted by Everton, but his £40m price tag, as per talkSPORT, could prove to be an obstacle.
Everton's interest in Brooke Norton-Cuffy has been revived and he could be purchased for £17m.
Atalanta are also looking for close to £21m for Raoul Bellanova as per Sport Italia, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been touted at around £20m.
Which signing makes the most sense for David Moyes?
When it comes to value for money, Wan-Bissaka, Bellanova and Brooke Norton-Cuffy certainly rank near the top.
All three were regular starters in a top European leagues.
Doue, while an exciting prospect, may be slightly overpriced and could limit Everton's budget elsewhere.
But if Everton can negotiate a fee close to £30m for Spence, then he may be the best option available in terms of quality and fee.
Spence, who has performed quite well for England at the World Cup, would provide Premier League experience and an added threat in attack.
If that move cannot go through, then moving onto Bellanova and Norton-Cuffy seems the most logical next step.
While Wan-Bissaka should also not be discounted for his experience in English football at his reported price point.
Either way, Moyes has a key decision ahead as to the type of right-back he wants to bring to Merseyside.
