Everton have a decision to make over summer moves for Rico Lewis and Jack Grealish.

The Toffees are keeping tabs on potential targets having already made three signings this summer.

Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl have also come in permanently after loan spells last season.

Hayden Hackney is the new face on Merseyside after his anticipated move from Middlesbrough and could shortly be joined by further additions.

Lewis has emerged as a target in yet another move from Manchester City to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes wants the move, but it all hinges on a decision surrounding Grealish moving deeper into the summer.

The Blues are in need of defensive options this summer, especially in the right-back role.

Seamus Coleman has gone and it just isn't sustainable to force Jake O'Brien to feature there every week.

That could see a move for Lewis make sense as TEAMtalk reported on Wednesday that Moyes is an admirer of the 21-year-old.

His versatility has caught the eye of the Scot, but Man City aren't under pressure to make a sale.

It isn't clear whether a loan deal could be arranged, but even if it could, Grealish's potential return to L3 could put a stop to that.

Premier League rules force Everton into Lewis and Jack Grealish call

It would be superb to get both those signings over the line this summer.

The Toffees need experienced heads and could get exactly that with the Man City duo this summer.

Problems could be further down the road however as Premier League rules dictate that you can't sign two loan players from the same team at the same time.

That would force Everton to sign at least one of Lewis or Grealish on a permanent deal if Moyes wants them both.

Lewis may make more sense as the loan signing as his contract doesn't expire until 2030, handing the Citizens a perfect chance to drive a hard bargain.

A permanent return for Grealish may be beneficial for all as a cut-price fee could be available after his temporary spell last campaign.

There is a decision there for Moyes and Co. to make, but either way it could prove to be beneficial on Merseyside.
