How much of Jack Grealish's wages Everton will cover as Man City talks advance

Jack Grealish is closing in on a return to Everton on loan from Manchester City.

The England winger impressed during a temporary stint from Man City last term, scoring twice and providing six assists in the Premier League.

However, Grealish's loan spell was cut short by injury in February and Everton opted not to go through with a £50million purchase option.

Grealish, 30, has been involved with Enzo Maresca's side early in the new campaign but Everton have still been tracking the exciting winger.

Now, the dominos are starting to fall for Everton to bring Grealish back to Hill Dickinson Stadium on loan before Tuesday's deadline in England.

Everton bringing Grealish back to the club does come at a cost.

The Toffees are in discussions over selling Iliman Ndiaye to Tottenham, with Richarlison looking set to return in a separate deal.

Ndiaye's exit, which has been expected, does leave Everton with a void on the flanks.

But Grealish returning on loan would help mitigate the Senegal ace's exit and bring back a popular figure to the Blue half of Merseyside.

According to Capology, Grealish takes home a reported net fee of £300,000 per week at Man City.

talkSPORT transfer correspondent Alex Crook says that Everton will pay 90 per cent of Grealish's wages, with talks advancing on completing the deal.

Grealish is returning, Richarlison is also seemingly coming back, and the Toffees have reportedly agreed terms to bring right-back Kenny Tete in from Fulham.

Moyes wanted his squad strengthening, but he also did not want to lose his best players.

The exit of Ndiaye will sour things slightly, but there was also an inevitability about his exit.

Everton will hopefully be stronger as a sum of the parts despite losing the 26-year-old.
