Jack Grealish reacts to Everton transfer latest as Hill Dickinson return speculation continues

Jack Grealish's potential return to Everton still hangs in the balance.

The winger enjoyed half a successful loan spell at Hill Dickinson last season, before his time was ruined by a foot injury that kept him sidelined for the rest of the campaign.

David Moyes announced well before the end of the season that the Toffees would not trigger the £50million buy option in his loan contract from Manchester City, but admitted the club would do what they could to bring him back this summer.

There have been talks between the Blues and Man City over a permanent transfer, though no breakthrough has been reached.

It's said that the club are keen to wait to see how the former England international recovers from his injury before making another move to sign him again.

Everton have been busy in the window, and though they haven't signed Grealish back yet, the player himself has been keeping up with the latest news on Merseyside.

Jack Grealish reacts to Dwight McNeil exit

Everton have confirmed Dwight McNeil's exit this Tuesday, as the winger has joined Crystal Palace in a swap deal that has seen Brennan Johnson head to Hill Dickinson.

After the Toffees posted official confirmation of McNeil's departure, Grealish was quick to comment.

The 30-year-old wrote: "Top, top guy. Good luck."

Grealish could earn £200,000 per week if he returns to Everton, which would be a major reduction on what he currently earns.

The former Aston Villa man earns around £300k a week at the Etihad Stadium, which the Blues paid the majority of last term.

There has been talk of Everton wanting to sign Grealish for around £20m or less, but right now, it seems to be a matter of waiting.

What has McNeil written to Everton fans?

As for McNeil, the 26-year-old has finally gotten his move to Selhurst Park after a January move fell through.

It looked like Everton were going to bank £20m for the versatile winger, but a holdup on Palace's end was allegedly what caused the transfer to fail in the eleventh hour.

Moyes and Evertonians were quick to support the Englishman, who has written to supporters and teammates following his departure.

Taking to Instagram, McNeil wrote: "Toffees, it’s been some four years. I’ve loved every minute of it, and I will miss the club sincerely.

"We’ve made some amazing memories and memories I will be forever grateful for. I love you all and I wish you all the best."

He also went on to thank teammates and staff for his four-year stay on Merseyside, with the likes of Nathan Patterson, Jarrad Branthwaite and George Pickford among Everton players who have all liked the post so far.

The Toffees will wish him well on his journey in south London, as attention may now turn to Grealish after the arrival of Johnson.
