Three questions Everton fans still have this transfer window include Jack Grealish pursuit

Everton supporters have been a little frustrated at the slow progress made during the summer transfer window.

Hayden Hackney and Christian Norgaard have arrived from Middlesbrough and Arsenal respectively to strengthen David Moyes' midfield.

Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George have also joined on permanent deals after loan spells at Hill Dickinson Stadium last season.

But there are still some glaring questions that need answering that many fans might have expected to be addressed by now.

They are questions that Moyes is no doubt asking regularly of the recruitment team at Hill Dickinson Stadium, too.

Here, Goodison News looks at three questions that supporters still have heading into the final weeks of the transfer window.

Will a new right-back be signed by Everton in the transfer window?

It genuinely beggars belief that we're still having to ask this question, given how long it has needed answering.

Nathan Patterson has struggled badly with injuries and form in an Everton shirt, and the long-serving Seamus Coleman has also departed.

Jake O'Brien has had to largely fill in there in recent times, and Everton have been crying out for a right-back for some time.

There have been plenty of rumours, including Everton wanting to sign Celtic's Alistair Johnston, but as yet there does not appear to have been tangible progress made.

Surely, surely before the window slams shut on 1 September a new right-back will arrive at Everton.

Will Jack Grealish return to Everton?

There are so many variables involved in this question that truthfully it might not be answered until the very closing minutes of the window.

Jack Grealish was a popular figure with Toffees supporters before injury cruelly curtailed his loan stint from Manchester City.

The 30-year-old has been working on his recovery back at the Etihad Stadium, and new City boss Enzo Maresca has hinted that Grealish has a role to play this seaosn.

But Everton, who opted not to exercise a £50million purchase option, are still being linked with a move for Grealish.

Everton would dearly love him to return, but the deal will need to make sense for all parties.

Will Everton keep hold of Iliman Ndiaye this summer?

Iliman Ndiaye has turned down several new contract offers from Everton, but with plenty of time left on his current deal the Toffees are in a strong position.

Mega-rich Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have been linked with a lucrative move for the Senegal international, though talk of that deal has quietened a little.

Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked in the transfer window, and Ndiaye has spoken of his desire to play in the Champions League.

At the minute there does not appear to be too much movement in terms of an exit, but it is hard to answer with confidence that Everton will keep hold of Ndiaye.
