Jack Grealish has officially returned to Manchester City following the end of his Everton loan.

Making the loan switch last summer, the attacker began to get back to his best in the opening months of his Toffees career.

Providing two goals and eight assists in 20 appearances, the 30-year-old was in fine form for the Blues, before disaster struck in January.

Suffering a stress fracture in his foot, Grealish would undergo surgery and miss the remaining months of the campaign.

He remained a class act behind the scenes as he continued to support his teammates in his absence at Finch Farm.

Praised for his character in his year at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton fans would love to see him back, and this may just be reciprocated.

Jack Grealish is Everton through and through

Throughout the season, fans have watched Grealish's social media accounts closely.

He has been a genuine breath of fresh air in this regard, taking to Instagram in support of his teammates each week - win, lose or draw.

Now, his latest post could have given a hint, as he said: "Small bit of my camera roll from June," with a blue love heart, and multiple Everton photos in the collection.

Teammates Jarrad Branthwaite, Dwight McNeil and Tim Iroegbunam would like the post, while Tom King would joke about his involvement, saying: I've only made it."

Naturally, fans would flood the comments with responses ranging from "sign the contract" to "get that new shirt on lad".

Grealish is an incredibly popular figure at Finch Farm, but a deal must make sense for Everton if they are to pursue it this summer.

Everton must turn Jack Grealish emotion into sensible transfer call

Based on his conduct throughout the season, the signs point in the direction of Grealish wanting to stay at the club.

For Everton, they may well be able to use this as they negotiate with Manchester City.

At 30, the Blues cannot be spending too much to secure his services, while City may want to get rid if he is not part of Enzo Maresca's new plans.

With this in mind, the Toffees hold the cards given his affinity, and the fact that nobody out there will be willing to spend huge figures on him.

If they are to get it done, another loan or a reasonable fee would be excellent, and they could do so by capitalising on Grealish's rapport at Finch Farm.
