Jack Grealish to undergo medical as Everton do something no other club did for transfer
Jack Grealish is on the cusp of returning to Everton from Manchester City.
The England winger made 20 Premier League appearances for the Toffees last season, scoring twice and providing six assists in those games.
Grealish, 30, suffered a season-ending injury in February, and Everton opted not to exercise a £50million purchase option.
However, Everton remained active in their pursuit to bring Grealish back to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
And a new update from David Ornstein has revealed that Grealish is now ready to make his return to the blue half of Merseyside on deadline day.

When is Jack Grealish having his Everton medical?
News of Grealish's return follows reports that Manchester City have agreed to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.
Grealish has remained on the Toffees' radar throughout the summer.
His appearance for City in the Community Shield then in their Premier League opener with Bournemouth cast doubt on his return.
But Ornstein wrote for the Athletic that Everton have now agreed a deal with City for Grealish to return to Everton on a season-long loan.
Interestingly, they were the only club in a heavy race to meet specific terms.
The former Aston Villa attacker will consequently undergo a medical on Tuesday morning ahead of completing a return to Merseyside.
Is Jack Grealish return good for Everton?
Everton are set for a busy end to the transfer window, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
Losing Ndiaye is undoubtedly a blow, and the Senegal ace will be a miss for Everton in the final third.
Grealish returning can only be a good thing, though. Everton know he is a proven Premier League performer who can hit the ground running.
Everton are reportedly going to be paying 90 per cent of Grealish's wages, which is a big outlay.
But if he can have another big impact this season and, crucially stay fit, then it is a deal that is totally worth it for Everton.
