Pavel Sulc ticks all the boxes as Everton plot new £25m transfer
Pavel Sulc could be the answer to many of the concerns at Everton.
The Toffees somehow threw away European qualification in the Premier League last season in a shocking end to the campaign.
David Moyes wasn't happy and has moved quickly to try and rectify that in the summer transfer market.
With money already spent to secure the signings of Hayden Hackney and Tyrique George, Sulc could be next.
Currently playing for Lyon, the Czechia midfielder could be moving to the Premier League after only one season in France.
But why may Everton want him that badly?
How much will Pavel Sulc cost Everton?
It wouldn't be a cheap deal for the Friedkin Group to sanction.
The Daily Mail has reported that Lyon want at least £25million to let their breakthrough star go.
After signing from Viktoria Plzen for only £6.5m last summer, a breakout season and World Cup has seen his price skyrocket.
It's not hard to see why with 14 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances.
That return as triggered interest across Europe, with the newspaper reporting that Leeds are also in the running.
Jack Grealish conundrum could halt transfer
It's no secret that Jack Grealish is still wanted at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Goodison News has shared reports that Everton are waiting on Grealish's recovery from long-term injury before pushing for his signing again.
Permanent and loan deals have been mooted for the Manchester City star to return to Merseyside.
Even if Grealish does sign again, though, Sulc should be targeted on top of that.
The 25-year-old has played in attacking midfield, central midfield, as a winger, and even as a false nine in recent years, proving his versatility that ticks all of the boxes.
Last season, when Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye were injured, Everton had nothing around Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Sulc could come in and fill those gaps perfectly, with the Toffees finding out the hard way that you need depth to succeed in the Premier League.
With George signed again, there is also hope that Tyler Dibling can finally start to show why such big money was spent on him.
But, after years of small neglect in the transfer market, it's time for Everton and the Friedkins to properly bolster this squad, ready to move up the Premier League again.
