Everton simply have to win the race for Nestory Irankunda's signature amid fresh links with the Watford forward.

David Moyes is in the market for a new winger this summer, after already signing Tyrique George.

The Toffees have constantly been linked with Jack Grealish, who spent last season on loan on Merseyside.

However, the Watford star may well be the best option for Moyes' side as he boasts something that the other targets do not have.

He may well prove to be exactly what the Blues need, to achieve their ambitions for the upcoming campaign.

How did Everton target Nestory Irankunda perform last season?

Irankunda has been a standout player for the Hornets in recent years, and he continued that in the 2025-26 season.

Therefore, it makes sense that Irankunda is being linked with Everton in a report from Portuguese outlet Record's print edition on Wednesday.

He played 40 Championship games, with four goals and four assists in the second tier.

He averaged 2.97 shots and 1.55 chances created per 90 minutes, and his 5.58 touches in the opposition box show how direct that he is.

The cherry on top is his 22.74mph sprint speed, which would make him the fastest player in the Toffees' ranks if he was to sign.

That is currently Thierno Barry, who clocked in at 21.96mph in the clash with Aston Villa in January.

What would Irankunda bring to Everton?

Airton Andrioli is the man who was credited with discovering the 20-year-old and being behind his rise to stardom in Australia.

He spoke about what Irankunda brings to the game in an interview in May 2023.

Speaking to aleagues.com, he said: "From a natural talent point of view, he has everything going for him.

“If he can tick all the other boxes, I wouldn’t be surprised. He is such a beauty to watch."

The Blues need to take advantage of their interest and bring him to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

His electric pace and direct style is what Moyes needs in his squad, as they currently lack that kind of player on the flanks.

It would likely help the Blues in their ambitions to qualify for European football next season, if they had someone with his ability and potential to call upon.

At the very least, he would excite supporters on a weekly basis and bring a different aspect to the side.
