Tyler Dibling is looking increasingly likely to leave Everton one way or another in the coming months.

And who would have a genuine argument against that?

It's been a horrid debut campaign on Merseyside for the former Saints star, with very limited amount of gametime, and nothing to show for it.

David Moyes opted to utilise Harrison Armstrong, a central midfielder by trade, out wide instead of Dibling, showcasing just how far away from the required standard he truly is.

With that said, the Toffees will maintain faith that Dibling can prove his worth over time, though a loan may need to be sanctioned f

And with Everton keen on Hayden Hackney, there may be a deal to be done that involves the winger.

Could Tyler Dibling move to Middlesbrough?

After the disappointment of losing in the play-offs, Boro will be looking to add more quality to their squad when possible and where possible.

With that said, they seem resigned to losing Hackney, with Everton having shown an interest already this summer, as well as the likes of Crystal Palace and other Premier League sides.

The Teeside outfit are said to value the midfielder in the region of £20million-£25m, though Everton may be able to lower that price if they include Dibling on a season-long loan.

A move to the Championship would suit all parties, given the fact that Dibling would be likely to receive regular gametime to aid his development, which has been stunted over the last 12 months.

Dibling's future could rumble on at Everton

It really does feel like more of a when as opposed to an if when discussing Dibling's potential exit from Merseyside.

Another season as a bit-part player will only ruin his chance of becoming the player that the Toffees though they were getting, which would make no sense either for the player or for the club.

Simply put, a loan exit has to be sanctioned for the winger this summer, and if that can aid the Blues in their pursuit of Hackney - hailed as "brilliant" by Kim Hellberg - it would be an absolute no-brainer.
