Everton are closing in on a deal for Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison, and the initial fee may not be as high as first thought.

Richarlison was a fan favourite during his previous spell on Merseyside, which concluded with a move to Tottenham in 2022.

Four years on, the Brazil international now looks as though he will be returning to ply his trade at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

While that could be the case, a new update suggests the fee may never actually reach that amount.

How much will Everton initially pay Tottenham for Richarlison?

The fact Iliman Ndiaye is heading to Tottenham rather softens the excitement of Richarlison's return.

There is no doubt the 29-year-old can still do a job in what should be his prime years.

Indeed, it was not long ago then-Tottenham boss Thomas Frank described the forward as an "exceptional" player.

However, Ndiaye has been Everton's star performer and losing him is a massive blow for David Moyes.

Word is that Everton needed to raise funds, and they will be making a profit in terms of these two deals side-by-side.

As per respected Everton fan account 'The Bobble' via X on Sunday, Everton will be paying Tottenham £25m upfront for Richarlison.

The other £10m is in add-ons, so the Toffees will only be handing over more money if those various clauses are met.

And it appears Richarlison's imminent arrival at Finch Farm is not the only deal set to go through in the coming days.

Everton transfer round-up: Richarlison latest as six deals to go right to wire

What other deals are Everton working on alongside Richarlison?

As many as six deals could be in the pipeline as things stand, in terms of both incoming and outgoings combined.

In terms of those who could arrive, Kenny Tete also looks to be close to joining from Fulham.

Jack Grealish is another who should be an Everton player come this time next week, meanwhile, likely on another loan.

Elsewhere, Folarin Balogun is a new name that has been mentioned, but it is not known if that move will be pursued if Richarlison joins.

Either way, it makes for an exciting final 48 hours or so to the summer transfer window as far as Evertonians are concerned.
