Everton have been mooted to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly from Arsenal this summer.

The Toffees are looking for additional recruits in both midfield and defence, and the English international most certainly fits the bill.

Lewis-Skelly came through Arsenal's academy, and has since gone on to play for Mikel Arteta's side 77 times, helping them to a Premier League title last season.

But there have been reports to suggest that the Gunners may be open to offloading the 19-year-old to raise pure profit ahead of their final acts of the summer transfer window.

He has reportedly been offered to several Premier League clubs, and a move to Hill Dickinson has not been ruled off the table.

Fans have been told to keep an eye on Lewis-Skelly possibly joining Everton, who has reportedly been offered to several Premier League clubs.

The reports shared that the Gunners offered the Englishman to both Chelsea and Manchester United, among other top-flight sides, which sparked outrage from supporters of the champions.

However, while speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Romano detailed the truth behind these reports.

The Italian transfer expert said: "For Arsenal, it was never the case to let him go. He is really a part of the Arsenal project and has no intention to leave.

"The only way for this deal to happen was if Arsenal put the player on the market. The reality is that Arsenal never made the player available.

"No movement expected on this one."

With that said, Everton will swiftly turn their heads to other options, and they have plenty of them.

Who can Everton move to after Lewis-Skelly clarity?

Lewis-Skelly could have offered Everton quality at left-back over Vitalii Mykolenko, and also provided more options in the middle of the park.

The teenager recently started in midfield for Arteta in Arsenal's opening Premier League win against Coventry City on Friday.

If it is midfielders that David Moyes still wants, there are plenty on Angus Kinnear and Co.'s list.

Patrick Berg continues to be linked with a move to Everton, who appears keen on a move away from Bodo/Glimt.

Villarreal's Pape Gueye has been a name heavily linked with a move to Hill Dickinson, though interest has been placed on the back burner in recent weeks.
