Everton could benefit from adding both Jack Grealish and Jacob Murphy this summer.

The former spent last season on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, notching six goals and two assists before an injury in January ended his spell.

The Blues are believed to be eyeing a deal to bring the Manchester City man back to Merseyside.

However, Murphy has also emerged as a winger target for Everton, per a report from Sky Sports on Saturday.

The two targets should not be mutually exclusive, the Blues should bring them both in.

The data proves exactly why that would be a brilliant idea for David Moyes' side and could be the perfect winger partnership.

How Jack Grealish and Jacob Murphy could co-exist at Everton

Both players have the edge in different areas, Murphy is more of a goal threat, but Grealish is better creatively.

The Newcastle man averaged 0.17 goals and 2.34 shots per 90 minutes last season, compared to figures of 0.11 and 1.43 for the Blues loanee, per Fotmob.

In terms of assists and chances created, though, the Toffees man had the edge with 0.33 and 2.10 to Murphy's 0.11 and 1.28.

While Grealish is more of a creator who can progress the play, the Magpies ace is a high volume crosser, completing 1.33 per game compared to the 30-year-old's mark of 0.55.

Moyes likes his attackers to defend from the front and the loanee wins in that regard, he completed 50.5 per cent of duels and 7.56 defensive contributions, compared to the 31-year-old's 40.3 per cent and 5.01.

Why there should not be concerns despite the duo's age

There may be concerns surrounding the ages of both players, but it makes sense, as they would give the Blues different ways to attack.

They have proven that they still have plenty in the tank left to give, and that could benefit the L3 outfit, if they can agree deals for both.

It could also allow Moyes to bed in Tyrique George and Tyler Dibling slowly, if the duo are signed, rather than having to rely on them immediately and then being disappointed.

Any age concerns would quickly be diminished if they start producing the goods when the season kicks off.
