It's been a summer of continuity at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but that is about to change dramatically in the final 48 hours of the window.
David Moyes has gone about his business quietly, while guiding Everton to four points from six to start to the Premier League season.
Angus Kinnear and the Friedkins are facing serious questions, though, and an explosion of late transfer activity only proves that.
Grealish is at the top of that list, with the 11pm deadline quickly approaching on 1 September.

Everton seek Jack Grealish change
All of the talk so far this summer has been that the England international would return to Merseyside on loan.
Everton were said to be covering 90 per cent of Grealish's £300,000-a-week wages to make it happen with Manchester City.
But, that's changed overnight, it seems.
The Daily Mail has reported in its print edition that Everton are now in talks to make it a permanent switch immediately.
The newspaper states on 31 August that late discussions are underway around Grealish as City prepare to sign Cody Gakpo and Enzo Fernandez.

When many expected a quiet end to the window, things have simply exploded over the last 48 hours.
It started with Harrison Armstrong looking likely to join Nottingham Forest, but fan backlash saw the Friedkins pull the plug.
That suggested that Everton may need to sell, and that still looks to be the case with Iliman Ndiaye now set to join Tottenham for £60million.
Within that deal, the Toffees have agreed a £35m fee to re-sign Richarlison, with Kenny Tete also coming in from Fulham.
Should Grealish come in permanently, which does make sense given his contract expires next summer, it would make a huge end to the summer.
Whether Everton would be stronger remains up for debate, though.
