Everton fell to a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.

There was hope coming into a clash with Xabi Alonso's side that the Toffees could maintain their unbeaten start.

Things were never going to be easy against the Blues and it turned out that way.

A first half full of needle was quickly forgotten about when Pedro Neto found the net less than 50 seconds into the second half.

It was the Portugal international who went on to make it two and kill the game in favour of Chelsea.

It is a first loss of the season for Everton as we rate each players' performance out of 10.

Thierno Barry poor for Everton again

There was a desperate need for the Frenchman to step up for the hosts.

It was Beto who proved to be the difference in this fixture last season as he scored two and grabbed an assist.

Thierno Barry needed to do his utmost to replicate that, but it wasn't the case.

He once again missed a big chance and was generally poor both on and off the ball.

There is very little to say to rectify his performance as he failed to truly have any sort of positive impact.

Another frustrating day for the striker.

Jack Grealish showed his quality vs Chelsea

There wasn't too many positives for David Moyes to take from this one.

Despite an intense first-half, there was no truly great moments once the whistle had been sounded for the second 45.

The only man who can hold their head up high in the home dressing room is Jack Grealish.

The loanee constantly looked to get on the ball and make things happen.

Whether that be holding up the ball to bring others into the game or get past a man and whip in a cross.

He didn't get the result that his performance potentially deserved as he showed why he is so important to the Toffees right now.
