'Outrageous' Tyler Dibling moment spotted after David Moyes surprise in Everton win vs Ipswich
Tyler Dibling is continuing on his redemption arc at Everton.
The 20-year-old winger had a hugely disappointing first campaign with the Toffees last season.
Everton forked out around £40million to Southampton to sign Dibling, but he struggled to make an impact.
Dibling showed plenty of promise during pre-season, but he has found game time hard to come by in the Premier League this term.
However, the past week has been much more promising for Dibling, and there is now hope he can really kick on.
Indeed, Blue Room podcast host Matt Jones saw Dibling do something "outrageous" against Ipswich Town, after being surprised by what David Moyes did in the 1-0 win.
What did Tyler Dibling do in Everton vs Ipswich?
Dibling was Everton's best player for the 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over Wolves last week.
He laid on the assist for Charly Alcaraz to bend in the winner, and was a constant threat for the Toffees.
That was not enough to earn him a starting spot for the clash with Ipswich over the weekend.
Indeed, Jones was surprised that Moyes stuck Dibling on in the 66th minute with the game still in a precarious spot.
But he noted how well Dibling did when he came on, and one moment in particular really caught his eye.
Speaking on the Blue Room, Jone said: "It's ended up being a really good week for him, Dibling, hasn't it?
"He was excellent against Wolves, Everton's best player by a mile that night. I think maybe just as important was him coming on with the game in the balance on about 70 minutes on Saturday.
"I was really surprised to see Moyes turn to him at that critical point and trust him to go on and be a player who can kind of be trusted with the game on a knife-edge because it's not really something he's done loads of.
"When he came on he was brilliant again, wasn't he? Three shots, he played one outrageous pass across the field with the outside of his left foot and all of a sudden now we're sat here thinking he feels like a first-team player."
Does David Moyes have a welcome Tyler Dibling dilemma?
It would be a huge boost for Everton if they can start seeing the best of Dibling on a regular basis.
There is no hiding the fact that his debut campaign for the Toffees was a disappointment.
But now he is starting to look like the player Everton fought off competition from several suitors for.
It begs the question, does Moyes have a dilemma on his hands now?
Moyes may have a threadbare squad, but on the flanks he has good options in the likes of Jack Grealish, Tyrique George, and Brennan Johnson.
Surely, though, Dibling deserves a chance to start at some point. It is the sort of headache Moyes will want.
