Everton have enjoyed a couple of hard-fought victories over the past week.

David Moyes' side earned their spot in round four of the Carabao Cup by beating Wolves 1-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last Wednesday.

And it was the same scoreline at the same venue on Saturday, as 10-man Ipswich Town were defeated in the Premier League.

Consequently, the Toffees sit seventh in the table, with nine points from five games, and are still unbeaten this campaign.

Now, though, Everton have a three-week period without a game due to the elongated international break.

Should Tyler Dibling get a start for Everton in the Premier League?

It has been a funny old Everton career for Tyler Dibling since his £40million move from Southampton in the summer of 2025.

The young winger endured a tough first campaign on Merseyside, struggling for game time and form.

Dibling showed glimpses of promise in pre-season, but was still not a regular presence in the team in the Premier League.

However, he was afforded a chance against Wolves and put in a very good display, including laying on the assist for Charly Alcaraz's winner.

The 20-year-old had a positive cameo off the bench against Ipswich, but is it now time that Dibling was given a start in the Premier League?

Are Everton genuine contenders for European football?

Last season, Everton flirted with European qualification before falling away at the end of the campaign.

Moyes was left aghast at suggestions the Friedkin Group thought it a failure that Everton did not make Europe.

A dismal transfer window left Moyes with a threadbare squad, and outside noises were acting as if it were a doomsday scenario.

But Everton are in the mix early doors for continental football, and the question is whether they will be in that conversation come the end of the season.

Everton may be light on numbers in the squad, but that does not mean they are light on quality.

And right now, one question is whether Moyes has a bit of a selection dilemma, especially in his forward line.
