Arthur Barratt has officially confirmed his move to Everton.

The young midfielder has been pictured at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as he prepares to join up with the Toffees.

Starting in the academy groups at Finch Farm, Barratt will be looking to impress David Moyes quickly.

Barratt was first linked with Everton back in June, after deciding to leave Chelsea with 10 years of service under his belt.

A permanent fee was said to have been agreed between the Premier League rivals, but it still took weeks to confirm.

Now, he's officially through the door.

What has Arthur Barratt done after Everton transfer?

Like all modern footballers, he has taken to social media.

It's become somewhat of a trend for players now, sharing messages with fans and their fellow professionals.

Barratt posted an image of himself at Hill Dickinson Stadium, wearing the new home shirt for 2026-27.

It comes six weeks after he waved goodbye to Chelsea on the same social platform in an emotional message.

Like then, several of his teammates from then have wished him luck.

Who's next in line at Everton?

The Toffees have a great history of bringing through youth talent, but that has somewhat gone missing recently.

Ross Barkley is a good example, with Wayne Rooney the very best.

Last season saw Moyes stick to his favourites, usually older and more experienced, although it didn't work.

Harrison Armstrong did likely play more than he expected, and he's set to get an even bigger chance this time around.

In pre-season, Braiden Graham was the one name everybody was excited to see and he certainly didn't disappoint.

Harvey Foster also burst onto the scene, scoring in the 3-0 win over Dundee at Dens Park while in Scotland.

Those are the sort of names that Barratt will be playing alongside, but also competing against for senior exposure.

With the season days away, he'll be raring to go in Merseyside.

Right now, there is no chance of getting an opportunity in the senior side, as Moyes doesn't even rotate much in the cups.

There may be a change to that strategy after such a dismal end to last season, with new ideas hopefully bringing new success.

Will Barratt reap the rewards of that? Time will tell.
