Everton £70m sale update drops on Iliman Ndiaye as winger wants out

Iliman Ndiaye will only be sold by Everton if a mammoth fee approaching club-record levels is offered.

The Senegal international has emerged as a summer transfer target for Al-Hilal.

The Saudi club have already spent a fee of up to £60million to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United.

Funds are seemingly not an issue as players such as Ousmane Dembele are also being targeted.

It may well be Ndiaye who joins, though, with the winger seemingly eager to make the move.

Ndiaye's stance has been made clear, but so too as Everton's.

What fee would it take for Iliman Ndiaye to leave Everton?

Goodison News reported on Wednesday that Ndiaye wants to leave Everton and join Al-Hilal.

Ndiaye has rejected numerous contract offers from Everton, who are understandably reluctant to sell.

However, a separate report by The Athletic on Tuesday - coinciding with interest from Manchester United as well - suggests Everton will sell for £70m.

That would be second only to Romelu Lukaku, who cost Manchester United £75m in July 2017, in terms of Everton's club-record sales.

There has been no indication of a bid yet being tabled by Al-Hilal, even if terms may have already been agreed with the player himself.

Ndiaye exit rumours come at horrible time for Everton

Everton have fired blanks in their past two friendlies, both of which were against second-tier opposition.

Without Ndiaye in the side - as well as James Garner in a deeper position - Everton lacked any sort of creativity.

Given Beto and Thierno Barry's inconsistency, David Moyes quite simply cannot lose Ndiaye.

While it is true the winger dropped off in the second half of last season, he is still Moyes' most lively attacker.

If £70m is indeed offered, Everton would then need to go out and find a replacement for a player hailed as "unbelievable" by Tommy Doyle while at Sheffield United.

Given the news that is coming out in the past 48 hours or so, do not expect this one to go quiet anytime soon.
