Everton about to decide on signing Madela Keita in last-gasp move

Everton are weighing up a move for Parma midfielder Mandela Keita.

The Toffees have their eyes on the 24-year-old as the clock ticks towards the 11pm transfer deadline on 1 September.

With the Blues on the verge of sanctioning a few exits in the coming hours, they may feel the need to pursue additional reinforcements.

Keita could be one of the options at Hill Dickinson Stadium to bolster David Moyes' squad.

The Merseyside outfit have arguably left themselves with plenty to do in the final hours of the window and the situation in L3 will be worth keeping an eye on.

For now, Everton's recruitment department should be focusing on signing a new right-back for Moyes.

Defensive reinforcements are a clear priority for the Toffees, with Adam Aznou leaving on loan for Malaga and Nathan Patterson also on his way to Torino.

The Blues are making progress to replace Beto with AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun.

Moyes already has enough quality in central midfield with James Garner, Hayden Hackney, Merlin Rohl, Christian Norgaard, Harrison Armstrong and Charly Alacarz.

If the Merseysiders do decide to go for Keita, it may be towards the final few hours of the window.
