Everton flop Tyler Dibling reacts after confirmed Southampton contract news
Tyler Dibling continues to keep tabs on Southampton after his failed move to Everton.
The 20-year-old completed a big-money switch to Hill Dickinson Stadium in the summer and was met with high expectations.
He hasn't come anywhere close to matching those as David Moyes clearly doesn't trust him.
The attacking midfielder has been limited to just 350 Premier League minutes for the Blues in his debut campaign.
It has been a constant source of frustration in L3 after he failed to replicate his previous form at St Mary's.
That hasn't stopped him from keeping an eye on the Saints as he reacted to the latest departure from the south coast.
Tyler Dibling wishes Will Smallbone well as Southampton exit message drops
Things certainly haven't been rosey for Tonda Eckert and Co. in recent weeks.
The spygate scandal saw them removed from the playoff final and in a terrible position.
That has prompted many exit links already, while multiple stars have also departed at the end of their contracts.
First-team names Oriol Romeu, Ross Stewart, Alex McCarthy, Joe Aribo and Charlie Taylor are leaving with Will Smallbone joining them out the exit door.
The Republic of Ireland international took to Instagram on Monday to wave goodbye to the Saints faithful as he prepares for his "next chapter".
Everton man Dibling was quick to react as he sent a heart emoji in the comments section.
Could Dibling return to Southampton from Everton?
Things just haven't worked out for the Englishman since sealing a £42million move to Merseyside.
His minutes have been severely limited, but that has been due to his own poor performances for the most part.
That could see a summer departure make sense, either on a permanent or loan deal.
The latter could open the door for a move back to Southampton as they prepare to fight at the top end of the Championship.
The atmosphere surrounding Dibling isn't particularly great at St Mary's after his move to Everton, but they could still welcome him back in the second tier.
It would all hinge on what Moyes has planned for the attacker as he looks set to have an interesting summer ahead.
