Everton not far off striking Baris Alper Yilmaz agreement as figures revealed

Everton are considering a move for Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz this transfer window.

The Turkiye international could be on his way out of the Istanbul club in the coming weeks.

With the Toffees reaching out to the 26-year-old's agents, his situation is one to watch closely in L3.

Yilmaz is being heavily linked with a move to Hill Dickinson Stadium and figures are being discussed.

While primarily a left-winger, the Turkish attacker can play across the forward line for David Moyes.

Last season, the forward made 49 appearances in all competitions for the Super Lig side, scoring 12 goals and providing 16 assists.

Goodison News have covered reports of the Toffees' interest in Yilmaz, with an offer on the table.

Now, prominent Turkish journalist Haluk Yurekli, who covers Galatasaray, has suggested a proposal of around £34million to £38m has been submitted for the winger.

The Blues have made contact with the attacker's representatives to enquire about his situation in Istanbul.

With Nottingham Forest also keeping an eye on the Turkiye international for some time, there's a possibility he will be on the move this summer.

Galatasaray want above £42m, a figure the Merseyside outfit aren't far off by the looks of things.

Speaking on Turkish football show 343 on 2 August, Yurekli said, "We also know that Everton has been sounding out the situation through agents. There is a possibility that Yilmaz will leave. The figures on the table are in the £34 to £38m range. Galatasaray's expectation, however, is above £42m."

Yilmaz doesn't look to fit the traditional mould of a winger, with his physical abilities surely something Moyes could look to experiment with.

The Toffees want to re-sign Jack Grealish at Hill Dickinson Stadium, so the arrival of any other left-winger after Tyrique George wouldn't make sense.

What the Blues do lack, though, is depth in the number nine position and that's where the Turkish forward could come.

Yilmaz has shown impressive aerial abilities and strength to hold up play during his time in the Super Lig.

The winger has the potential to cope with the Premier League's physicality.

Moyes may also be able to convert the Turkiye international into a striker to compete with the inconsistent Beto and Thierno Barry in Merseyside.
