Everton have seemingly revived their interest in Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The Blues have had the 26-year-old on their radar since 2024, but have yet to actually make their move.

The Blues have already brought in Hayden Hackney and turned Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George's loans into permanent deals this summer.

Spor journalist Burhan Can Terzi revealed on X on Friday that the Blues have a £35million offer on the table for the winger.

He stated that Toffees officials have arrived in Istanbul to try and come to an agreement.

Why do Everton want Galatasaray ace Yilmaz?

The Blues want Yilmaz because he has proven that he is capable of making a difference on the flanks.

He notched 12 goals and 16 assists in 49 matches in all competitions last season for the Lions.

He also enhanced his reputation with one goal and one assist in three matches at the World Cup.

The numbers that he provided last season are much better than any of the options that Moyes had at his disposal.

Iliman Ndiaye was their top scorer from the flanks in the league, with six goals, and Jack Grealish was their top assister from the wings with six.

Dwight McNeil provided just one goal contribution, while Tyler Dibling and George failed to even manage that, with the limited game time that they had.

Whether Yilmaz could achieve similar figures in English football remains to be seen, but it is worth the gamble for the L3 outfit.

They need difference makers, and sometimes you have to take a risk and hope that a player can translate his game to a different atmosphere.
