Three things still on David Moyes' wish list at Everton this transfer window

Everton will be looking to seriously push on in the transfer window in the coming weeks.

The Toffees have completed some business this window, with Hayden Hackney arriving from Middlesbrough to strenghten their midfield.

Merlin Rohl's loan has become permanent, while a deal was struck wih Chelsea for Tyrique George to return full time.

But there are still some pretty big areas for Everton to address in the transfer market.

With a little over a month before Everton play their Premier League opener at home to Crystal Palace on August 22, David Moyes will keen to have the bulk of his business done by then.

Here, Goodison News looks at three things still on Moyes' wish list in the transfer window.

Everton absolutely must sign a right-back

Everton have had an issue at right-back for some time now, and there was a real surprise it wasn't addressed last summer.

Now, there is an even bigger need given veteran Seamus Coleman has departed and Nathan Patterson will likely be sold if a buyer can be found.

Goodison News has profiled how Manchester City right-back Rico Lewis could improve Everton.

Lewis is one of several full-backs linked to Everton during the transfer window, with Genoa's Brooke Norton-Cuffy a long-term target.

Tottenham Hotspur ace Djed Spence is also said to be on the Toffees' radar, though his impressive World Cup performances might drive up his price.

West Ham United' Aaron Wan-Bissaka is reportedly on Everton's shortlist, while Arsenal's Ben White may yet become available and has been linked.

But it is absolutely imperative that Everton finally address the long-standing problem this summer.

David Moyes needs a Beto and Barry upgrade

Only five teams scored fewer Premier League goals that the 47 tallied by Everton last season.

Thierno Barry (eight goals) and Beto (nine goals) were the primary options up top last season, and there is no lack of effort from either player.

But if Everton are to really push towards a return to European football, they need a far more consistent goalscorer leading their front line next season.

Bayer Leverkusen ace Christian Kofane was heavily linked with a move to Hill Dickinson Stadium, though that trail has gone a little cold in the past week.

Atalanta forward El Bilal Toure is another name that has been mooted, but whoever arrives they simply must be an upgrade on Barry and Beto.

Everton need better wide options

It is not just the strikers that need upgrading, but the supply line at Everton has to be much more consistent as well.

The return of George is a good start, he is a player with an extremely high ceiling.

But with Jack Grealish back at Manchester City and doubt surrounding a permanent return, there is still work to be done out wide.

Iliman Ndiaye's future is not entirely clear, and the likes of Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling have not shown anywhere near enough consistency.

Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy is a reported target for Moyes, while West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen is someone Moyes would love to reunite with but a deal looks tricky.

Lyon's Czechia international Pavel Sulc is more of an attacking midfielder than a winger, but he is a reported target and his arrival should certainly help with the creativity void left by Grealish.
