Everton surely have their answer on Christ Inao Oulai as intense negotiations take place
Everton have been consistently linked with a move for Christ Inao Oulai throughout the transfer window.
The Toffees have been keen to bolster their midfield ranks before the start of the 2026/27 season, with the Trabzonspor man among their targets.
Hayden Hackney has already arrived from Middlesbrough, but David Moyes is thought to want another option in central midfield.
Veteran Idrissa Gana Gueye has yet to commit to another year at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Tim Iroegbunam has been linked with a move away.
Ivory Coast ace Inao Oulai, who has 13 caps for his country, has emerged as one target for the Toffees.
Now, it looks as though Everton might have their answer already in their pursuit of the 20-year-old.
Everton target Christ Inao Oulai in talks for new transfer
Goodison News has previously reported how Everton have learned Inao Oulai is earning £8,000 per week at Trabzonspor.
Everton have reportedly been following the youngster "very closely", though the likes of Barcelona, PSG, and Chelsea have also been named as suitors.
One particularly prominent link, though, has been to Serie A side Fiorentina, who have been active in the transfer market.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, La Viola have increased their offer to Trabzonspor and are involved in "intense" negotiations.
Trabzonspor are said to be holding out for a fee in the region of £34.1million, with Fanatik saying Inao Oulai is just waiting for an agreement to be reached.
Essentially, it seems as though Everton have got their answer when it comes to Inao Oulai.
It might be time for the recruitment team to turn their attentions elsewhere, because this one is fast looking like a none starter.
Who else is on Everton's radar this summer?
Moyes is said to want to add a more defensive-minded midfielder to his ranks over the summer.
Even if Gueye does remain at Hill Dickinson Stadium, he will be 37 in September so a long-term option is needed.
Villarreal midfield Pape Gueye, 27, and Mandela Keita, 24, of Parma have both been named as potential targets for Everton.
It does look increasingly likely that other targets than Inao Oulai will need to be focused on following the latest reports.
