Friedkin Group let Everton down yet again as Jamie Leweling mystery deepens
Everton would be right to feel let down by the Friedkins in their pursuit of Jamie Leweling.
There are just hours remaining of the transfer window for the Toffees to get business done.
Folarin Balogun and Jack Grealish look set to come in through the door, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles potentially ready to join them.
It hadn't looked as if that was enough for David Moyes as he eyed further attacking reinforcements.
Everton tabled an offer for Leweling and now look set to be scuppered by their own owners, the Friedkins.

How did Jamie Leweling react to Everton approach?
Deadline day started in such exciting fashion on Merseyside.
Balogun and Grealish were great signings in their own right, so adding the German to that list was only going to be a plus.
Excitement stepped up when it was revealed that the Blues had tabled upwards of £36million for the winger.
Sky Sports Germany journalist Dennis Bayer reported on Tuesday that Leweling actually turned down the move himself.
Instead of pushing for a deal, he has appeared in training with Stuttgart, which sort of sums up his thoughts.
That was a blow for the Toffees, but has only been made worse knowing that the Friedkins are still working on a deal, but not one that will benefit Everton.
Do the Friedkins actually favour Roma?
The Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful can take losing out on a player who seemingly doesn't want to make the move.
That certainly hasn't been made any better knowing that Leweling could be set to join Roma instead.
Gianluca DiMarzio reported on Tuesday that the Italian giants have now placed a bid to sign the forward.
Roma's owners, who just so happen to be Everton's are pushing to seal the deal at the Stadio Olympico.
That may prove to be the final straw for many fans in L3 who are already massively frustrated by the Friedkins.
They seemingly continue to favour Roma and a strange number of reported Everton targets end up with the Giallorossi.
Leweling is the latest and it seems very mysterious that he would reject the Blues for Roma on deadline day.
