Everton could see the Friedkins bring yet another target to Roma this summer.

The Toffees owners have certainly had their fair share of positive moments since coming in on Merseyside.

They saved the Blues from what could have happened under the financial woes of Farhad Moshiri.

There have been elements of frustration given the recent lack of transfer activity.

The lack of any new full backs has become an annoyance, while new attackers wouldn't go amiss.

That continues to be made worse as the Friedkins continue to seemingly show favour at Roma over Everton.

Roma to move for Malick Fofana after Everton link

It has been a difficult summer for David Moyes' side after a disappointing end to last season.

There is a desire to add further depth in attacking areas, even after bringing in Tyrique George from Chelsea.

Fofana has previously been mooted as an option as there was Everton interest last summer.

Alan Myers described that as "strong" in July 2025, but no deal was arranged in the end.

It now seems that the Friedkins want to bring him to Roma as Alfredo Pedulla reported on Friday that the Italians have been in contact with Lyon about the 21-year-old.

He has been on their radar for two weeks and could make a deal happen, depending on other potential incomings.

That will hardly go down well on Merseyside, especially after what has gone on already this summer.

Which other targets have Roma snatched from Everton?

Multi-club ownership is always a difficult structure to work around, particularly in the transfer market.

The issue is that fans on both sides want the best for their club, and their club only.

Strasbourg have felt that under the guise of BlueCo as Chelsea continue to be prioritised.

Everton are starting to go down that road somewhat.

Roma have signed Nahuel Molina and Santiago Castro already this summer, both of which were linked with the Toffees.

The Argentine would have been the much-needed right-back addition that the Blues have wanted while Castro could have bolstered the attack in much-needed fashion.

Fofana could follow suit if he is to join Roma in yet another frustrating blow at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It will leave the Friedkins with some seriously awkward questions to answer on Merseyside.
