How Beto's Everton exit talk has already taken an early twist amid Fiorentina preference

Beto has emerged as a candidate for Fiorentina as his Everton exit talk continues to ramp up.

The Guinea-Bissau international looks to already have been made the second-choice striker under David Moyes this season.

Thierno Barry has been in flying form, scoring on the opening weekend of the Premier League before following that up with a hat-trick against Preston in the Carabao Cup.

After 112 appearances for the Toffees across all competitions, it would be no surprise to see the 28-year-old now part ways in search of a starting role.

With former Everton man Moise Kean linked with Como, Fiorentina do need to snap up a replacement.

And while Beto was poised for that role, La Viola's preference could halt any exit this summer.

But while the Guinea-Bissau forward may be hopeful of that transfer due to more game time, it appears he is no longer the first choice transfer for the Italian side.

According to Calciomercato, Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee has emerged as the "hottest" option for the Serie A side.

He is said to have overtaken Beto on the Florence-based club's shortlist this summer window.

It is an early twist in the saga, with the Beto exit talk only surfacing over the last few days.

But, if La Viola can secure that move for the Dutchman, it may shut the door on Beto's chance of a move away.

Either way, the Toffees would need to replace Beto and based on their transfer business this summer, there wouldn't be much confidence they could do that.
