How much Everton could pay Bologna for Jonathan Rowe as fresh bid ready
Everton could yet make another bid in an effort to sign Jonathan Rowe from Bologna.
The Toffees are in the market for attacking options right now as David Moyes looks to bolster his forward line.
Jack Grealish is yet to return and has left a whole in the squad after his loan spell last time around.
Tyrique George has returned, but himself, Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling have failed to truly prove their worth in L3 recently.
That leaves the door open for a fresh face to come in before the new season gets underway.
Rowe could prove to be a top option and will require an impressive offer to even bring Bologna to the table.
Everton consider second offer for Jonathan Rowe
The Englishman has certainly caught the eye ever since moving to Serie A last summer.
In his debut campaign in Italy, he contributed to 12 goals and assists across all competitions.
He showed some flashes of brilliance as he looked to be back to his Norwich City best at Renato Dall'Ara Stadium.
The Red and Blues' boss Vincenzo Italiano picked out his "quality, flair, creativity and one-on-one ability", proving just how good he has been on the continent.
That has piqued the interest of the Toffees and has prompted them into action.
French journalist Sebastien Vidal reported on Thursday that Everton are preparing a bid of upto £30million for Rowe.
They previously had an offer of around £25m turned down and are considering returning to the table.
It's unclear how Bologna would take the offer as they are said to want between £47m and £51m for their star man.
They don't intend on losing the attacker, especially as Marseille hold a 10 per cent sell-on clause after his 2025 transfer.
Where Rowe could rank in Everton transfer record fees
The 23-year-old would certainly be an exciting addition after such a frustrating summer to this point.
There has been little reason for the Blues faithful to get excited, but that could change with Rowe.
It would all depend how much Moyes and Co. would be willing to fork out.
Should they pay the £30m that has been mooted above, that would see the Englishman well within the top 10 most expensive signings in the Toffees' history.
If Bologna do hold out for the £47m and £51m, that would see Rowe become the record signing at Hill Dickinson Stadium, ahead of Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
That would mark a risk for the L3 outfit, but is potentially one that is worth taking right now.
