Jack Grealish's contract examined after Everton return: Wages, duration and amortisation
Jack Grealish is set to play a key role at Everton this season.
The 31-year-old was a big-name signing on Merseyside last summer.
He had a telling impact early on under David Moyes before injury took its toll on his career in L3.
The Englishman was ruled out from January onwards, leaving his future open at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
His return to Manchester City opened the doors to questions over his next move throughout the summer.
Grealish has returned to finish what he started at Everton as we round up what we know about his contract.
What is Jack Grealish's Everton wage?
The issues with moves away from the Etihad have always been the attackers salary.
As part of his £100million move from Aston Villa saw his wage increase to match those of his new peers.
That has since halted a departure from the Citizens as very few clubs can match what he was being paid.
His only route out was for Man City to pay a large chunk of his wage, which Valuball estimates at £310,000-per-week.
There are contrasting reports over how much Everton are paying as part of the deal, but it is between 75 and 90 per cent.
That equates to £232,000 and £279,000-a-week for Grealish on Merseyside.
The only boost is that the Toffees havent had to pay the same fee as Man City over the years.
How much have Manchester City paid per year for Grealish?
It is hard to truly judge whether the attacking midfielder has been worth what Pep Guardiola paid for his signature.
A British record £100m was paid and he has got the silverware that anyone would be proud of.
The amortisation fee is what you truly need to compare his success to after six years of payments.
It is reported that Man City have paid £20m-per-year since 2022 to cover the cover his cost over the course of his contract.
That is a sizable fee and ranks him within the top four highest amortisation costs at the Etihad alongside Erling Haaland, Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi.
Everton certainly would struggle to pay that sort of fee, so there will be questions about his future in L3 at the end of his second loan stint.
