Everton's summer transfer business has been a bit of a slower burner so far in truth.

The Toffees have brought in Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough to boost their midfield options.

Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George have also completed permanent moves to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

But there is plenty of work still to be done, with David Moyes wanting more reinforcement befoer the new Premier League season.

Additions at right-back, central midfield, on the flanks, and up front would all be welcome before the new campaign.

Tyrique George - Winner

You have to say that George himself is a big winner from what's happening so far in the window.

Not only has he landed himself a permanent move to Merseyside, but he has an opportunity to really kick on.

As things stand, Jack Grealish is not returning after his loan spell from Manchester City - so that remains on to watch.

Iliman Ndiaye's future at Everton is also looking uncertain amid interest from Al-Hilal.

It means George could end up being a really important part of Everton's XI next campaign.

Harrison Armstrong - Winner

This one is pretty debateable in fairness, but as things stand you have to say Harrison Armstrong is a winner.

Recalled from a loan spell at Preston in January last season, the 19-year-old made 10 Premier League appearances under Moyes last term.

The arrival of Hackney may originally have blocked his path to further involvement this time around.

But with James Garner going through injury problems in pre-season, and Idrissa Gana Gueye now having left, there is a gap there for Armstrong to stake a claim.

Nathan Patterson - Loser

It just simply has never happened for Nathan Patterson in an Everton shirt has it?

The Scotland defender has had problems with injuries and form, and he clearly just is not fancied by Moyes.

Even when available last season, Moyes largely utilised Jake O'Brien - more at home as a centre-back - on the right of defence.

It is a poorly held secret that Everton want a new right-back this summer, and if they finally find one then surely Patterson will be allowed to find a new home.
