Tyrique George medical latest: When his transfer from Chelsea to Everton could be confirmed
Everton are edging closer to completing a deal to sign Tyrique George from Chelsea.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Hill Dickinson Stadium having hardly featured in the capital.
Things weren't exactly much better on Merseyside as his minutes remained limited.
He didn't score or assist under David Moyes and was often utilised as a substitute rather than a starter.
The powers that be in L3 seemingly saw something in the forward despite his underwhelming spell.
George is set to join the Toffees permanently as we assess when his move could be announced.

It came as a surprise when the Blues decided to move for the winger at the end of his loan spell.
That is especially the case given that they have delayed proceedings until the beginning of July.
A deal looks to have accelerated with Daily Mirror journalist Bobby Vincent reporting on Saturday that Everton and Chelsea have reached a £24million total agreement for his signature.
That will see the Merseysiders pay £18m upfront and £6m in add-ons plus a 15 per cent sell-on clause at Stamford Bridge.
The Mirror reporter has now shared that George has passed his medical and a move is being finalised on Monday.
That could see a move for the Englishman be announced within hours or days at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The bigger question will be why a deal wasn't agreed as soon as his loan deal finished, rather than days later.
Why Everton waited to seal deal for George
You would have thought that a permanent deal for a loanee would have been confirmed before the summer window even opened.
That hasn't been the case for George and there is a clear reason for that.
Everton wanted to negotiate a cheaper deal for the attacker and they have managed to do that.
The option to buy him permanently as part of their loan agreement was £25m, but they will now pay £7m less upfront.
That is obviously a positive and there is also the idea of completing the deal in July rather than late June so it classes within the new financial year.
There are many benefits to doing exactly that and it could prove to be wise in what could prove to be a busy transfer window.
