Where Tyler Dibling could rank in Everton record sales as RB Leipzig eye transfer
Tyler Dibling could be on his way out of Everton after just one season.
The 20-year-old completed a big-money switch to Hill Dickinson Stadium last summer.
The Toffees paid a fee that could reach £42million after a breakout campaign with Southampton.
Things just haven't worked out on Merseyside as his minutes have been severely limited.
There have been largely negative reviews aimed towards the Englishman after the small glimpses of him in L3.
Dibling could now be facing the exit door, but he could ironically fall upwards this summer.
Tyler Dibling could leave Everton to play Champions League next season
There is a bizarre case sometimes in football when poor players land moves that are seen as an upwards step.
That comes despite poor form for one side, before they go and play for a better side in their next move.
Dibling could be set to face a similar fate as the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that RB Leipzig have an interest in the attacker.
The Bundesliga side had an eye on the Southampton talent last summer before he moved to L3.
They are now back in the Champions League after a third place finish last season and could bring in the 20-year-old ready for European competition.
Considering the Toffees spent a sizable fee on him last summer, they could be prepared to land a near-record fee for his signature if he does leave in the very near future.
Could Everton sell Dibling for a record transfer fee?
Over the years, the Toffees have made a number of big-money sales that have certainly caught the eye.
Their most recent saw Amadou Onana join Aston Villa for a figure in the region of £50m.
He is the second highest sale Everton have ever made, having previously sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United for £75m.
Dibling obviously wouldn't within that remit as Everton would probably look to recoup the money they paid 12 months ago.
That could see him move to RB Leipzig, or whoever else, for a fee similar to when Anthony Gordon signed for Newcastle in 2023.
The now-England international cost them £45m and is the fifth highest sale the Blues have ever made, sitting narrowly ahead of Wayne Rooney who left for Manchester United for £27m.
Dibling would probably sit ahead of the former Old Trafford sensation, if he leaves, as Everton's sixth largest-ever sale.
