Jack Grealish 'gutted' as personal message sent to Everton fans after Hull drama
Jack Grealish has made clear what he thought of Everton's 2-2 draw with Hull City on Sunday.
The Toffees recovered from a goal down to lead in a dramatic second half, only to then squander that advantage at MKM Stadium.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored one and assisted the other for Thierno Barry, but goals from Joe Gelhardt and Mohamed Belloumi either side meant it finished all square.
The topsy-turvy nature of the second half after a goalless opening 45 minutes, in which Brennan Johnson's disallowed goal was the only talking point, made it hard to work out if it was a point gained or two points dropped.
But it is clear Grealish was not pleased with a draw from the trip to Humberside.
The Manchester City loanee took to social media on Sunday evening to send a personal message to the travelling fans.
What did Jack Grealish say after Everton draw vs Hull?
Grealish had an underwhelming game by his standards and was taken off in the second half.
The winger had a couple of shots - one on target and one off - while failing to complete any dribbles.
However, he did register two key passes from his 56 touches of the ball.
Grealish was grateful to the supporters in the away end, but said he was "gutted" with the result.
"Gutted we couldn't take all three points," he wrote on his Instagram story. "But the unbeaten run continues.
"Thanks for the top away support as usual."
Grealish added three blue love heart emojis at the end of the message.
David Moyes not happy after Everton draw
As Grealish pointed out, Everton's unbeaten start to the season now stands at eight matches in all competitions.
If you can't win a game, then don't lose it. Everton have made themselves incredibly tough to beat, which is always a good trait.
However, David Moyes admits Everton should have been returning to Merseyside with three points.
A couple of defensive howlers gifted Hull their goals, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles having a shocker.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Moyes said: "I'm really frustrated with the levels generally. Our level was way below where we've been recently.
"I'm disappointed that when we went 2-1 up, I didn't think there'd be any way we would go on to not to win the game.
"But a couple of defensive mistakes didn't help and we also missed quite a lot of chances ourselves which would've made it easier."
Unbeaten Everton now prepare for next Saturday's clash with Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
