Edon Zhegrova and Everton is a story dating back to the summer of 2025.

The Blues had looked to bring the Kosovan forward to Merseyside before he ultimately made the switch from Lille to Juventus.

However, his time for the Old Lady has not gone quite as he hoped and his exit from Turin already looks to be on the cards.

The Toffees continue to be linked with the 27-year-old winger and they have now been left a potentially low-risk option to swoop for a deal.

Transfer business in L3 has been ramping up over the last week as David Moyes eyes fresh legs for his squad ahead of pre-season.

And after extensive scouting of Zhegrova, he may be a player that cannot be ignored in the market now.

How Everton could find value in an Edon Zhegrova deal

Everton are not financial powerhouses in the Premier League, so they do need to conduct their business smartly.

And when it comes to snapping up Zhegrova, that could be a smart transfer to make.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Juventus feel that Zhegrova will be a player that is "difficult to sell" and that a loan away may be the only feasible option.

Over the last year, Everton have found joy in the loan market with options to buy included in those deals.

The arrival of Jack Grealish was a resounding success, despite him missing the second half of the season.

Additionally, Tyrique George looks set to stay permanently following his loan move.

Everton have agreed a £24m deal with Chelsea for George, and with Zhegrova, they could repeat that success.

While the Juventus winger may not be a guaranteed hit, the Toffees have long been admirers, and on a cost effective loan, they could have another try before you buy situation.

It is undoubtedly a transfer opportunity, and with Everton still wanting wingers and eyeing Zhegrova, it would make a lot of sense.

What would Zhegrova bring to Everton?

Zhegrova is a tricky winger and would provide the Toffees with an added bit of skill out wide, at least according to the past words of an ex-manager.

Speaking back in in 2021, former Kosovo manager Bernand Challandes stated as relayed by Blick: "His creativity, his technique, his left foot, Wow! Players like him can make the difference because they do unpredictable things."

Although he has had a tough time in the Serie A, one poor season does not take away those qualities he has to offer.

As Grealish showed last season, Hill Dickinson Stadium is not a bad place for a winger to revive their career after a poor spell elsewhere.
