How Everton could force Tottenham into something they don't like in Jack Grealish latest

Everton's attempt to re-sign Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City could unintentionally impact Tottenham Hotspur.

The Toffees are dominating the transfer columns heading into the final day of the window.

A return for Grealish is just one of a number of moves that are in the pipeline, both in terms of incoming and outgoing activity.

Iliman Ndiaye's exit is another, with that potentially having a say in Grealish's future - and indeed activity at Tottenham.

An update has now been shared on a saga that is set to go down to the wire.

What's the latest with Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye deals?

Let's rewind a little. Ndiaye looked certain to be on his way to Tottenham earlier on Monday.

But it now looks as though Manchester City have won the race for Ndiaye's signature.

And it may well be that Everton's negotiations with City over a loan deal for Grealish have played a part.

Michael Bridges tried to make sense of it all live on Sky Sports News on Monday

"City can offer Everton Grealish - that's an issue as well," he said when discussing the latest on Ndiaye's future.

And assuming City now sign Ndiaye, it means Tottenham will have to look elsewhere for a wide forward - which could see them turn to rivals Chelsea.

"I was told that potentially Spurs could look at Mykhailo Mudryk at Chelsea," Bridges added.

"Spurs and Chelsea don't traditionally do business, but times are different now."

So as things stand, Ndiaye is going to City and Mudryk is going to Tottenham.

But where does that leave Everton in their hunt for new signings?

With Ndiaye's move to City said to be on the verge of completion, Everton really do need to get a move on to bring in replacements.

Grealish will hopefully be one of them, but he alone will not be enough to win back unhappy supporters.

Folarin Balogun is another Everton want, but negotiating a fee may prove troublesome with Monaco.

Even if Grealish and Balogun arrive, the exits of Beto and - in particular - Ndiaye make for a disappointing conclusion to the window.

Let's just hope the Friedkins are quietly cooking something up behind the scenes.
