Everton have confirmed the capture of Chelsea winger Tyrique George.

The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Despite no goals or assists, David Moyes still saw enough to bring him back on a permanent deal.

Everton have added George to their ranks, and will be looking forward to see what he can do when given a full season on Merseyside.

The Blues have paid £18million, with the potential for the fee to rise to £24m in the future with add-ons.

Goodison News looks at where he would rank among the Toffees' record signings, if they are reached.

Where does Tyrique George go on Everton's record signing list?

George does not even breach the top 10 when it comes to record fees paid by the Merseysiders.

The record is Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is believed to have moved to Goodison Park for a figure around £45m.

Tyler Dibling, Amadou Onana and Richarlison take up the next three places, with fees around the £34m mark.

They are followed by Romelu Lukaku at £30m, then Alex Iwobi at £26m, before several players who cost approximately £25m.

Yerry Mina, Thierno Barry, Yannick Bolasie, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford take up the next few spots.

George would be 13th, if the full fee ends up in the Stamford Bridge side's hands.

How have Everton's record signings performed previously

Sigurdsson can be regarded as a success for his exploits on the pitch, notching 56 goal contributions for the Blues, before an alleged off-pitch offence ended his time on Merseyside.

Onana, Richarlison and Pickford are other standouts from the list, but the others have struggled to have the required impact after they signed for the Toffees.

Dibling, Barry and Dewsbury-Hall have not had enough time with the Blues to make a determination just yet, but the latter looks to be the best at the moment.

Hopefully George can become one of the success stories, especially without the pressure of a record fee over his head.

While he did not have the best time last year, he was in and out of the side, and he will hope to get a consistent run in the team now that he is Everton's own player.
