Dave Jones predicts result of Everton v Burnley Carabao Cup clash for Sky Sports
Sky Sports host Dave Jones has made his prediction for the Carabao Cup clash between Everton and Burnley at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
The Toffees come into the game with four wins in their last six games, having beaten a tough West Ham side on the road at the weekend while Burnley are winless in their last three games.
And while making his predictions for Super 6 (1 November), Sky Sports host Jones has given Sean Dyche’s former side the edge and backed them to win the game 1-0 against the current run of form.

“Ipswich are playing superbly and I think they will get past a Fulham side who have been struggling for Premier League form this season,” he said. “Their brilliant season will continue here.
“Man Utd and Newcastle will go to penalties I feel with Newcastle a bit thin on the ground, and Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea will get through with relative ease.”
Shock
Everton have been really good in recent games and have been putting in excellent performances all over the pitch, and therefore they are rightly favourites for this game.
Dyche has finally managed to implement his own style and identity on the team and the results are finally coming too.

But this could be a scenario where Dyche rests players to give others an opportunity, and that could effect the balance of the squad and therefore the performance.
If the manager goes with his strongest side and the level of performance continues from recent games then it would take a monumental effort from Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side to turn us over, especially with such a highly-charged emotional game with it being the first home game since Bill Kenwright’s death.
This seems like Everton’s game to lose at this point, but we have to perform to our best to be able to prevent Burnley having a chance of causing an upset.
