Where Everton now stand on Iliman Ndiaye exit as approach update shared
Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye continues to be linked with an exit as the start of the new season approaches.
Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, who have already spent big on Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United this month, want Ndiaye.
The Senegal international still has three years to run on his contract at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
That gives Everton plenty of leverage, but that will not necessarily stop Al Hilal from testing the waters with a big offer.
Everton fans will be concerned about the prospect of seeing such a key player for David Moyes depart so close to the start of the new season.
A new update has now been shared on the situation regarding Ndiaye and his future at Everton.
Everton stance on Iliman Ndiaye couldn't be clearer
Goodison News first reported on Al Hilal's interest in Ndiaye on Sunday.
Two days on from that, Sky Sports have shared an update via their online transfer blog.
It is reported that Everton are aware of Al Hilal's interest in Ndiaye, who scored six goals and assisted three more in 32 Premier League games last season.
However, Everton have yet to receive a formal approach from the Saudi club.
It is also mentioned that Everton do not intend to sell the 26-year-old.
All that is left now is to see whether Al Hilal follow-up on their initial interest with a bid of any sort.
Could Jack Grealish latest sway Everton?
Moyes previously hailed Ndiaye as a "great lad to work with", and it goes without saying he will not want him sold.
However, it should also be factored in that Ndiaye did fade away in the second half of last season.
No bid has been made by Al Hilal, so it is difficult to work out what sort of region they value him at.
Given they paid up to £60million for Summerville, Everton know they can expect the same - if not more.
That is a serious sum of money that could potentially go on signing Jack Grealish and another winger.
Ironically, Grealish is also wanted by Al Hilal. Retaining Ndiaye is of course the priority, but if the right offer is tabled, then Everton will have a serious decision to make.
