Jamie Vardy would consider transfer from Leicester City to Everton for final Premier League run
Jamie Vardy would be open to a summer move to Everton after being told he can leave Leicester City following their relegation to the Championship.
The one-time Premier League champion and golden boot winner has become a bit-part player at the King Power in recent seasons, and the 36-year-old has now been allowed to depart if he receives an acceptable offer from elsewhere.
Sean Dyche is said to be interested in the veteran goalscorer, and according to The Guardian (13 July) the former England international would be open to a move to Merseyside.

“The striker might be considering his options after being relegated to the Championship with Leicester, so would consider one last Premier League hurrah at Goodison Park,” they wrote (13 July).
Shrewd
It isn’t a surprise to anyone to hear that Everton are looking at budget options for their squad this summer, and with Ashley Young arriving already at least there is some leadership through the door.
But Vardy offers something different, as he is a player still more than capable of performing at the highest level but also someone who is likely to be more accepting of a role on the sidelines if things are going well.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to continue to be the first-choice striker this season unless there is a major change, and so long as he is fit he is a better option than current Vardy.
But Vardy has the physical attributes to lead the line in a Sean Dyche team too and could provide some of that leadership and experienced nous in a tough situation to help out over the course of the season.
There’s no doubting that he knows how to find the back of the net too, so if chances fall to him we’ll be celebrating goals – which is more than we could say of Neal Maupay last season.
