Ian Wright says ‘pressure is mounting’ on Everton striker Richarlison after more misses
Ian Wright has called out Everton forward Richarlison for missing chances against West Ham on Sunday and says ‘pressure is mounting’ on them.
The Toffees fell to yet another defeat at the London Stadium, with the Hammers earning a 2-1 win.
Richarlison missed a host of chances once again, continuing his poor form in front of goal for the club this season, and Wright told BBC Match of the Day 2 that he needs take those chances with pressure building on the team.

“As a striker you start thinking, ‘I need to take one of these, because the pressure is mounting,’ he said.
“Listening to Frank saying that if they carry on playing the way they did today then they’ll be okay, but they’re going to have to eradicate mistakes.
“They do [make a lot of mistakes] and they did today.
“It doesn’t take much for players to lose confidence especially if the manager comes out and says things that makes them feel like he’s not backing us. So it’s good to see him do that and you hope that there is a response from Everton.”
Goals galore
It’s certainly a positive thing that the team are creating chances in the first place considering recent performances, but we need the forwards to start scoring.
Richarlison is in good form minus the goals, but his finishing boots were with him on international duty and it could be that the pressure of Everton’s situation is getting to him now.

The Brazilian looks lively and seems like the only one likely to make anything happen in the final third, so the fans must stay behind him and continue to back him.
The hope is that once he finally finds the net, the goals will start to flow and he will be able to guide the team to safety because he has the quality to do so.
For now, keep getting in those positions to score goals and eventually one will go in and the fans will be singing his name from the stands.
