Arnaut Danjuma chooses to join Everton over Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Southampton
Arnaut Danjuma has chosen to join Everton on loan for the rest of the season over their Premier League relegation rivals, according to Sam Wallace.
The Toffees have been linked with the 25-year-old Dutch forward over the last week, but faced competition from the likes of Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.
And after tabling a loan bid to Villarreal (10 January, Bruno Alemany), Danjuma has now made his choice and opted for Goodison Park according to The Telegraph.
“Everton the loan choice for Villarreal’s Dutch international striker Arnau Danjuma, 25, much sought-after among clubs in lower half of Premier League,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (19 January).
“Southampton, Forest and his former club Bournemouth were all interested.”
Excellent
If you’re not sure what type of player Danjuma is, the Manchester Evening News described him as “sensational” last year when Manchester United were linked with a deal for him.
Danjuma can play out wide and dazzle defenders with his quick feet and brilliant skill, but he’s also capable of going through the middle and causing havoc for opposition defenders.

He hit 22 goals last season for Villarreal in La Liga and the Champions League, which brought him to the attention of all the fans across Europe.
If you’d told Everton fans we’d be bringing in a top talent, in the prime of his career, to aid our relegation battle during the January window then most would have laughed you out of the door.
But Danjuma now looks like a genuine reality and Everton have finally begun to address their major striker problems this season, so now the hope is that he can fire Everton to safety and keep us in the Premier League beyond May.
