Sky Sports commentator stunned by what Michael Keane did during Everton Premier League clash v Tottenham Hotspur
Michael Keane pulled off a piece of “unbelievably brilliant” defending for Everton during the first half of their Premier League clash with Tottenham.
The Toffees hosted the north London club at Goodison Park in a huge game in their battle against relegation.
And they almost fell behind in the first half after a counter attack fell to Harry Kane, who saw his shot blocked on the line by Keane before commentator Don Goodman sung his praises live on Sky Sports (3 April, 20:09).

“Well that is unbelievably brilliant defending from Michael Keane,” he said.
“Recognised the danger. Again they win it back, that midfield duo of Skipp and Hojbjerg have done well in that regard. He advances, it ends up with Harry Kane but look at the positioning of Michael Keane.
“Just saved his team from going behind here. Outstanding.”
Renaissance
Since Sean Dyche has come into the side there are two players in particular who have benefitted and Michael Keane is certainly one of them.
Having been completely blanked by Frank Lampard for most of the season, he has got himself fit and ready and has stepped into the team ahead of Conor Coady.

Coady had been seen as one of the players of the season and him being axed was a shock, but Dyche’s decision has been justified as Keane has turned in some top performances to help ease the pressure in our relegation battle.
Obviously he can’t do it alone, but that block was as good as a goal in the game because it kept the scores level and meant we didn’t need to go chasing and leaving ourselves open.
He deserves a lot of credit for getting his head down, working hard and then taking his opportunity when it came to get back in the team and stay there, and no fans are disappointed when they see his name on the team sheet anymore.
